Summary: It prints, it scans, it works. The cost on ink is absurd and the weight between a full and a "machine declared" empty is 1/10 of an ounce. This complaints hold with all inkjet printers the manufacturers are making more on ink then on printers. If you print a lot spend your money elsewhere.
Summary: Although the machine prints fine, you will sink more money into ink than warren buffett could. When the ink is out, you CANNOT DO ANYTHING, repeat WHEN OUT OF INK THE MACHINE SHUTS DOWN and it RUNS OUT OF INK AFTER 10 PAGES.
It eats ink. $15 every other month, and I don't print in color.

Summary: Please don't buy this printer/fax. I own a small home-based business, and bought it because I needed the fax. I don't print in color at all. In fact, I've printed less than 5 color pages in the last six months. But I've had to replace the yellow cartridge twice, and 2 of the other colors once.
Summary: The Brother MFC 645CN is really easy to use and very reliable. I've had mine for about two years now, with no issues other than it's ink usage. I rarely use colour, but I find the colour cartages run low after only a few months.
Summary: I rarely print, and never in color in an attempt to avoid buying cyan, magenta and yellow. But it somehow burns through all of them in no time and will not let you do anything until you replace whichever one is out. Want to print in greyscale? Gotta replace that magenta cartridge first!
Summary: Prints slow and loud. All functions stop when 1 ink cartidge is out. Ink is not cheap and difficult to find in person. Automatic fax or copy feed jams or sends multiples pages through. I'd look somewhere else for a better printer if I were you.
Summary: I wish I could get my hands around the neck of whoever decided to start the practice of NOT including a USB cable with the USB device you buy! You get everything out of the box, make a mess all over the floor, spend an hour setting up the printer, then when the instructions say "plug in the USB...
Summary: This is hands down the worst printer I have ever owned. Not only does it drain ink quickly, it also has a paper jam every other print. I've only had this printer for a little over a month and its caused nothing but headaches.
Summary: Uses ink very fast, will not print on photo paper with out jamming constantly, jams a lot on regular paper, hard to clear jams, very frequently picks up multiple pages of paper. Seems cheap but the frustration and high cost of each print will drive you crazy.
