The MFC-465cn is a multifunctional printer with fax, scanner, copier and printer functions from Brother International. This four-color inkjet printer measures 15.7 x 7.1 x 14.6 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 18.1 pounds. It has a 2 inch display and the ability to print directly from a USB flash disk or from a memory card. In addition to the built-in 32 megabytes of memory, the Brother MFC-465cn also supports various types of flash memory including CompactFlash, MMC, Secure Digital cards and more. Connection to a PC or a Mac can be done via USB. 10BASE-T or 100-BASE-TX Ethernet.

Printer

The four-ink printer (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) has a droplet size of 1.5 pico liters. It can print up to a maximum resolution of 6000 x 1200 dpi (black) or 6000 x 1200 dpi (color). The Brother MFC-465cn prints up to 30 pages per minute for black and white documents and 25 pages per minute for colored.

Scanner

The Brother MFC-465cn’s Contact Image Sensor (CIS) can scan documents up to a maximum resolution of 600 x 2400 dpi or 19200 x 19200 dpi through interpolation. It has color depths of 8 bits (gray scale) and 24 bit (color). The MFC-465cn also features a document feeder that supports up to 10 sheets of Legal-sized (8.5 in x 14 inches) paper or smaller.

Copier

The MFC-465cn’s copier function features document enlargement and reduction capabilities at 400% and 25% respectively. It can copy up to 22 pages per minute of black and white documents and up to 20 pages for colored documents. Maximum resolution is at 1200 x 1200 dpi (black) and up to 1200 x 600 dpi (color).

Fax

Faxing features transmission speeds of up to 14.4 Kbps, a 200-page memory capacity and error correction mode (ECM).
