Excerpt: My husband and I purchased the Brother MFC-440CN All-in-One InkJet Printer approximately four years ago, and we are still using it. I have found all of the features it offers to be extremely useful, especially on the rare occasion where someone needs me to fax them something and I don't have to run to a store and have them do it for me (or wait for them to receive it by mail!).
Prints great the problem comes in when the print heads clog up.

Excerpt: This printer has lots of great functions. The drawback is if you do not print for a while the printheads clog & you are not able to print a certain color. the printer prints a bit slow but the quality is great. I never had a problem with the quality, & i was never really in a hurry to get my prints. It is pretty compact for an all in one printer. the automatic paper feeder is great & so is the ocr capability.
Excerpt: I searched and searched for a good, inexpensive all-in-one printer. This one is the only one that does everything and still doesn't cost very much. I was a little dissappointed when I saw it on sale for $79 and I paid $95, but oh well!!! I am an Avon Representative and I do a lot of printing (flyers and labels), it prints pretty fast and the quality is impecable!
Excerpt: One year, I was bent on creating calendars as Christmas presents to my family. I wanted to first scan and archive all our family pictures (think really, really old pictures) and then use those in my calendars. The only problems: I didn't have a scanner. Heck, I didn't even have a printer! So my wonderful husband bought me this on a deal at a local electronics store. I was so excited! It has the capability to print documents, scan pictures, copier and fax.
Good & flexible device, a bit slow & noisy, works well

Summary: Love: USB & Ethernet, compact, refillable ink, independent photo & file printing including USB memory stick. Easy to read screen. Would have liked WiFi. Hate: Cartridges cost more than printer! Cartridge insert & remove is a lot harder than MFC420CN, and designed to make refill harder. Cynical engineering that is not customer friendly.
