Summary: I am now on my second 3220c. The first one died (error 41) 3 days before the warranty expired. The company sent a refurbished printer, which was in worse shape, more banged up, than the one I sent back. The second 3220c lasted about a year and a month, then error 41 again. According to their reps, it costs $110 to fix the printer, which I think was more than I initially paid for it.
Summary: Brothers printers all seem to have a common problem in that the print head clogs after a while and no amount of cleaning can restore it. Brothers customer service department will simply say that that non OEM inks are not filtered enough to prevent clogging. I have proven this theory to be false as I have now had two 3220C printers fail with error 41( clogged head). I only used OEM ink in the second unit -at considerable additional cost- and it still failed.
Summary: This printer offers the convenience of having all in one and is very easy to use but unfortunately the performance is very poor. After a couple months of use the printer will freeze and the ink will smear all over the paper. By running the cleaning cycle a couple of times will help but just enough to print two or three pages. I have gone through 3 brother printers different models and had problems with all three.
