Excerpt: My husband and I got the Brother MFC-255CW All-In-One InkJet Printer a couple of months ago and we just love it. It is wireless so you don't actually have to be next to the computer to print something. My husband and I both use laptop computers and we like to sit in different areas while we are on the computer. Also, we can have the printer set back in our room so it is not visible when people come over, as we like to be in the living room or dining room.
Excerpt: I've had this for quite some time. I purchased this multi-function printer from best buy in a package deal with a laptop. I was looking for a convenient wireless solution to share a printer on my home network so I was pleased with the extra $30 I paid for this when I bought my laptop.
Excerpt: i purchased the brother 3/1/10. no problem hooking it up. it works fairly fast as any jet ink printer. very easy to work. its a little chunky for my computer room but looks good there. uses 4 ink cartridges black, magenta, yellow and blue. got a good deal on them too from click inks $48.00 for 15 cartridges includes delivery. i am not a pro far from it but i am not having any problems with this machine. for $99.00 at best buys i can now do it all photos too.

Excerpt: Brother's MFC-255CW is a very good color ink-jet printer. When I bought my laptop at Best Buy, I got this for only $40, It's originally around $100. I am happy I decided to buy it. First, the directions for set up are pretty easy to follow and it was easy to set up and connect wirelessly to both my laptop and home pc. NO problems at all. It has fax, scanner, copier and picture printing. It comes with software that is easy to manage.
Excerpt: This printer works great! I just needed something simple to scan a few pictures and print when needed. You go through color quickly if you use the color all the time, but I typically just print b/w. The fax works well but is a pain to use if you have a lot of pages, the only thing that would make this better is if it could feed multiple pages.
Great printer for the price; sleek and space-saving.

Summary: This is a great printer for the cost. It was fairly easy to connect wirelessly, and the color print is pretty good. It is reasonably fast; not quite as fast as my old HP photo printer, but for the savings on cartridges and having the wireless connection, this is a great buy! I have received faxes and it is quick and clear.
Five Stars - Print, copy, scan, fax, and wireless.

Summary: If it isn't four-in-one, it isn't all-in-one. Faxing from Windows 7 is tedious, and slower than the straight fax from the Brother MFC 255CW. Of course it has brillient colors and sharpness, especially on photos, but you can change chatrages as necessary, (as it has four - three colors and a black.) The ink lasts longer than normaj, and are less expensive than HP. Of course, being totally wireless is a joy to behold!
Summary: My Dell printer had bought the farm. I was never too thrilled with it, but it came free with the computer I purchased. I spent a lot of time researching AIO printers, and especially was looking for one that scans well. The price of ink refilling was another priority. My Dell was real bad in that department. I chose the Brother MFC-255W because of my research. From the little time I've had it, I'm very pleased. It is even better than I had imagined.
