Summary: I bought this multi-function device for my daughter's college dorm room. The small footprint and multiple functions is ideal for her school needs. It gives her the convenience of printing her documents in her own space and avoids the per page printing charges imposed by the university. I don't use this device myself so I don't have first hand knowledge of the device itself but, my daughter tells me she is very happy with the device.
Excerpt: We needed a new copier/scanner/printer for the office, and we were wanting to get another Brother - this particular one - since we already had one that performed pretty well for our purposes. The big plus to that would be that they would use the same toner cartridge which would save us money in the long-term and be one less thing to keep track of. We received the printer on Thursday, hooked it up, and it printed very well.
Excerpt: DCP7065DN So far it's been nice to me and I've tried to be nice back. You get what you give I suspect. Some say flimsy=what can you expect from thin plastic. Oil is cheaper than metal Aye? I'm not a reader of manuals and try to figure things out my own way. Usually works for me but this time NOT... I'm using Linux Mint 17 Mate OS and have to be careful to buy from manufacturers that supply drivers and especially support their product in Linux.
Pros: Good Value, Fast, Quality, Easy to Set Up, Performance
Cons: requires some effort and planning, no idea how long it will last
Excerpt: My 8 year old Brother Laser printer was out of toner, so, for twice the cost of a new cartridge, I chose to upgrade to what I needed. My own scanner, a sheet feed-copier, and printer. And less expensive toner, believe it or not. It is a great machine. It does have some limitations, but if you learn how to work with them, you'll be fine. Duplexing Limitation: You can use the sheet-feed tray to make double-sided copies from your singled-sided originals...
Pros: Doesn't Jam, Good Value, Easy to Use, Fast, Quality, Easy to Set Up, Performance
Excerpt: We needed to get printer without wireless. This printer is great for our needs. The duplex feature is an added bonus saves on paper. I recommend this over inkjet printers the ink does not smear and it is a good quality.
Excerpt: LIKE THIS PRODUCT. ONLY USE THE COPIER FUNCTION. THE ONLY ISSUE IS IT DOES NOT 'HOLD'THE BRIGHTNESS SETTING, SO U GET KINDA GREY COPIES UNLESS YOU CONSTANTLY REFRESH THE SETTING (QUALITY - TO BRIGHTNESS- TO RAISE BAR SCALE - TO OK).OTHERWISE ITPRINTS NICE COPIES, AND ENLARGEMENTS, AND 2 SIDED.
Excerpt: got this unit on sale and it does a great job for the price; however, I did find out what they mean when they say new printers come with "starter" cartridges (already had to replace toner cartridge)
