Alistair Baldwin/Charlotte Baldwin, Amazon
4 October 2014
  • Summary: I've been really pleased with this printer - I've had it for over 4 years in a small but busy office and it has only just died. In that time it has been a workhorse. The A3 scanner really is excellent, and having two trays for A4 and A3 paper makes it really efficient to use (I have a colleague who...

OK for 2 years light use - then if you want a different unfamothable error message a day then this is the machine for you

S. Hill "phoenix", Amazon
9 April 2014
  • Summary: This worked with very light use for about 2 years - then then refused to print or copy with just the message 'cannot print'; take out power and reinsert - different error messages by number which do not correspond with anything on the Brother website for this model; then tells me there is not paper...

Scanner-Printer

M. A. Hogarth, Amazon
5 March 2013
  • Summary: Is doing an excellent job. Primarily used for scanning. Is a useful tool, easy to use independently as a copier. Haven't used it for photo-capture but believe that it would do this as well as it scans and prints. The Brother Creative Studio link provides templates for a variety of uses.

Wireless that works

Mr. A. Kerr "Tony Kerr", Amazon
21 December 2011
  • Summary: We had a wireless printer from Epson which was supposed to be a 3 in 1 but it was hopeless at being wireless and hopeless as a scanner. Saw reviews of this printer on Amazon and ordered it. It set up easily and performs well at all it's 3 purposes. it scans, it copies and it prints.

Highly Recommended.

Ms. L. Rampton, Amazon
17 December 2011
  • Summary: Have just set up this printer and printed out my first picture which was of very high quality. It was very easy to set up the wireless connection. I like the fact it is so compact for what it does, is easy to use (instructions clear with lots of good diagrams) and it looks robust.

Brother DCP-6690CW

Messaround "alisalt design", Amazon
9 December 2011
  • Summary: I have for the last 10years used the brilliant HP Deskjet 1120c. When I switched to Macs, it began to mis-behave (probably due to age). I desperately needed something that would print A3 reliably. The fact that this photocopies and scans is an enormous benefit. I have had it for about a month.

very good printer

Mike, Amazon
22 November 2011
  • Summary: Excellent printer. A3 is quite fast and I agree that the ink lasts for months even with heavy usage. Only slightly odd thing was I could only get it to do A3 scans by programming a customisable button on the CC3 control centre software that comes with it.

Worth it's weight in plastic alone

Jon Roz, Amazon
8 November 2011
  • Summary: The Good : Brilliant 2 tray printer - ideal for a small office where you might want to feet letter heads in the top tray and plain paper in the bottom tray OR for really small offices like mine A3 in the bottom tray and A4 in the top. Don't expect to tuck it into the corner of your desk though.
