Excerpt: Print quality is very good. Scanning is one touch, which is just great. All in all a very good printer at a very good price. Cons: Fan noise is way too loud and I need to turn the printer off to work near it.
Summary: This printer runs well and run nearly silent. I wish the led screen had back lighting since this is hard to read without additional room lighting. The toner cartridge is easy to install and replace. Any operator caused paper jams have been very easy to correct.
Summary: I have owned this printer for over a month......It is quieter than I expected based upon some earlier reviews. The set-up was a little more than anticipated because my MacBook Pro has OS X 10.9.2 and the software that came with the CD was an earlier version.
Summary: I have used brother printers for years. This replaced a brother mfc 210 ink jet that gave up the gost after six years. This laser printer is pretty basic and requires usb connectivity. The set up was realitevly easy. It is attached to a Macpro laptop.
Summary: Repetitive carriage jams drove me crazy with my previous printer--- although I miss having color copies, the quick good quality printing with this Brother printer and the ability to do duplex copying for larger jobs is great.
Excerpt: Set up was fairly easy but-- buyer beware-- even though this is not a wireless printer the cable from computer to printer is not provided. We did not want a wireless printer because we read that wireless printers compromise your privacy because they have to go around your firewall.
Include a USB a-b cable in your order (it was cheaper online and saves the hassle of looking for one in the shops)!

Summary: I was using this printer regularly back home (in another country) and liked it a lot so I decided to buy the same model when I recently moved for college. After I received it I realised it didn't include the required USB a-b cable (the manual checklist did not include it too, so it wasn't missing)...
