Excerpt: I bought these for about $25 at Walmart.com a couple of months ago. I needed a new speaker setup, but I like bass so a normal 2.0 wasn’t something I was looking for, and a 5.1 is too many speakers, so a 2.1 was perfect. I heard some good …
Summary: I picked up 3 of these systems for $11.99 per unit at a discount store today. I do custom electronics for a living, and I agree with the more technical reviews of this system. As far as the long term relaiability, I will just to see what happens.
Summary: I bought mine, and everything was good for about a month, and a half, and the bass got really low which I didn't have it turned up the whole way up (I like rock and roll oldies)it would come in and out, and after a while it started to buzz.
Summary: These speakers were relatively good for the price. The subwoofer wasn't as powerful as I imagined. Plus, after a couple months, the audio input cord broke (the cord from the speakers to the computer). The metal head became removed from the cord, and was rendered useless.
Summary: No Super Highs (16k) Great Highs (14K) Mediocre Mids (10K-250) Mediocre Bass(200-160) Great Sub Bass (150-60) You will need to do some tweaking with your equalizer for great sound, but it is in there if you take time and look for it!
Summary: I purchased this set of speakers in WalMart. My intention was to have a nice compact system that I could use to play music from my mp3 player, computers or the Television and this set seemed to fit the bill for all combination.
Summary: We bought these speakers at Walmart and they started acting strange a few weeks after purchase. Amplified sound levels would jump up and down, speakers crackled, and volume control was finicky. Sound quality was decent enough for small speakers, but the build quality just isn't there.
Summary: Purchased at and returned to a local department store. There appeared to be a fault in the on-board amplifier. The satellites were very distorted, as if clipped, and there was quite a bit of noise with no input and volume at minimum.
