Summary: The sound is a very good quality. Had it about six weeks and use it almost daily. I usually use the 'bass boost' option because I personally prefer that sound. My son likes that the design allows us to dock our iPad, and so do I. Great value that I hope lasts for many years longer than the other speaker dock I had (was a different brand).
Summary: The sound quality is good, the design is sleek and mobile, and the a/c adaptor works well and keeps your iPod charged. Though it's slim it's quite wide, which can be annoying if you want it to take up little room. The only real problem with it is it's on/off switch. While the other controls work by pressing down on one side or the other (e.g. to turn vol. up or down), the on/off switch has to be slid right or left.
Summary: I just played the dock speaker and I am very satisfied! First some background: This is my first docking station for my iPhone 4S. I have not had a docking station for anything for a VERY long time. But at the same time I have setup my own home theater with 100+ inch screen and Yamaha RX-V671 Receiver. I am also a big fan of Yamaha's "natural sound". And no I have not personally heard Bang & Olufsen but have heard Bose but I do appreciate good sound.
Summary: so I have had a few other iproduct docks in the past and this little one seems to be the best thus far. It has a solid feel, like it is well constructed and the sound really fills a room. The phone slides effortlessly onto the 30 pin conector. It has an option to install 4 aa batteries to make it travel friendly, if I ever use that option I will update my review. I only have one con for this and that is why I only gave it four stars.
Summary: I bought this speaker to place in my office so that I could listen to music while I am at work. It looks and works great! There are two main reasons that I bought this item. The first major one is that I have a case on my iphone and I did not want to have to remove it everytime I placed it on the speaker. I also really enjoyed the bass that comes from this size of speakers. Altough I have yet to really crank the speakers, the quality of sound has been decent.
Summary: I got my speaker system yesterday. I plugged in my ipod and turned the sound up as loud as it would go. It has amazing volume without distortion. This is not the top of the line type of speaker but for my needs it is fantastic. I use it in my office at work and can easily carry it where ever I go. (sure beats those awful ipod ear bud things - they hurt my ears) Anyway, I had to purchase the 5th Generation ipod recently to replace my previous ipod.
Summary: My wife is elementary school music teacher and uses this device all the time. She some times has to move from room to room to teach so the portability is a really good thing. I bought two identical speaker systems from another maker (one for me and one for my wife) and one died on me fairly rapidly. It will be interesting to see how long this will last given the amount of use it will get ( a lot).
Summary: Now let's be honest. If there is anywhere in the world of electronics where you notice the difference between high quality and low quality, it's in speakers. Good speakers will blow your mind; bad speakers will blow your ears. So when I saw this product I was somewhat skeptical. For $100 it just didn't seem Phillips could possibly create a worthwhile product--one that would function well and produce good sound. I was largely impressed.
