Looks better than it sounds

Michael Dunn, Amazon
9 May 2014
  • Summary: Looking for a small, inexpensive sound-dock for wife's office. The styling is spot-on but the sound is thin and tinny. If you're looking for a sleek, small box to give some background sounds this is great. if you want good sound from a small box then keep looking.

Works

Robert Bockenkamp, Amazon
12 April 2014
  • Summary: No where near what I was expecting. Not well made and lacking in some features but in a pinch it will work. Would I buy another one? No. Would I tell someone else to purchase this? No.

Not worth the money. Either spend less or spring a little extra $$$ for a better one

breezy0408, Amazon
12 November 2013
  • Summary: After reading the reviews, I thought I would try it. This is used in an office and no matter what volume level is chosen, there is more static than sound. Not worth the price. I will be purchasing a new one of much better quality.

Buy the circular radio clock Phillips instead!!

Elysia, Amazon
5 June 2013
  • Summary: This speak is only okay, and for the price, isn't worth it! I bought the circular ipod dock with the clock and it produces better sound than this :( Disappointing!

I wanted to love it...

EHanlin, Amazon
22 May 2012
  • Summary: I actually asked for and received this unit for a birthday gift. I had gotten my daughter a Fidelio DS3000 Philips Fidelio DS3000 Desktop Speaker Dock for iPod and iPhone (White/Silver) for Christmas and it was pretty impressive, so I asked for this Fidelio SBD7500 for something a little different and more portable than hers. I was very excited when I got it out of the box!

Nothing Special

diljs, Amazon
18 January 2011
  • Summary: iPod speakers are a dime a dozen, and while this one does its job, nothing stands out particularly about it. Pros: -Fits just about any iPod, as long as it uses the standard iPod connector (not some shuffles) -Plug and play usage, nothing complicated to set up -Compact size is fairly portable -Attractive styling -Scratch proof coating works fairly well Cons: -Sound quality doesn't exactly blow me away -Still consumes battery even while off, as mentioned by another...

Great unit, but keep it plugged in...

Mr. Consumer, Amazon
24 August 2010
  • Summary: Dismayed by the battery drain design flaw (read the other reviews), but sound quality is quite good and the unit packs well for travel. If only Phillips had fixed the battery drain problem before they released it.

Gets the Job Done

Timothy Lovett, Amazon
17 June 2010
  • Summary: One thing to keep in mind when you're buying this speaker system... it's a portable system. This should not be compared to something you would plug into a wall or leave sitting in one room all the time. To compare the two is like comparing a portable TV with a wall TV... yeah the wall TV is better for the price but there are some benefits of having something you can just bring with you wherever you go.
