Summary: Sadly I have just organised for my second one of these to be collected! The first would only recognise my iPad when I moved it forward away from its resting spot.It wouldn't play when it was leaning back against the back rest.. Don't get me wrong Amazon have offered an amazing service as usual with sorting my replacement however this new one wouldn't recognise my wife's iPhone so another rendered useless!
Summary: Great sound, very stylish piece of kit. Like the fact that I can play CDs with a horizontal CD slot instead of a vertical one (which I find tend to stop working after awhile). System looks at home in my kitchen.
Summary: Excellent value for money and an attractive looking piece of equipment, sound quality very good for price paid. An issue with "first" purchase as usual sorted quickly and efficiently by Amazon. Do not expect " Bose" quality sound.
Summary: I saw a few reviews which nearly put me off especially when someone said you could only see the display in the dark or with a blanket over your head, they should see an optician ASAP. As for it looking cheap and plastic, rubbish it looks really smart. And the person who marked it down for not having a headphone socket. Whaaat, get real. Why would you want to plug headphones into it. It has a socket for a USB, MP 3! iPod/iPad.
Summary: Great HiFi for the price, but just two important things (for music fans) to point out: there is no jack socket for your headphones! :( Also if you listen to mix CDs with consecutive mixes on, then beware, this stops for a second or two between each track, therefore spoiling the listening enjoyment. Both these could and shoild have been made better. I like this, but am now looking for a replacement as I need a headphone jack!!
Summary: Received the DCB352 in good time. Pleased with its looks. However when I came to test it.the C.D WOULD NOT WORK.! Needless to say it was send back the same day with all the inconvenience that entails. I did not replace the system on the premise that if a major brand like Phillips can let a piece of equipment out of it's factory with such a basic fault, They did not deserve may custom.
