Summary: I purchased this with high hopes. The unit is gorgeous to look at and the price was awesome. I fully expected to have issues with the dropped signals and planned on updating the firmware to correct the problem. Although this item was new in box, I found out that Phillips no longer supports this item. I connected and paired them easily enough and they sounded ok when they would work. The problem is that the signal would drop out for MINUTES at a time.
Summary: This speaker sounds fine, looks nice, and is seemingly affordable. I gave it to my mother as a Christmas gift and had it up an running in no time. Problem is, it would disconnect from wi-fi constantly. I'd say in this case, you get what you pay for. I should have spent a bit more and got something that worked. Stay away.
Summary: Stutters, stops and skips while playing. If you unplug it, it forgets the wireless settings and you have to set it up all over again. Which is not hard, but not exactly fun either. Sending it back. Found a Panasonic speaker that works much better for me on Airplay.

Summary: Airplay technology not really ready. I have been working with Apple support for 3 months now on most weekends to get these speakers to work. I have three of these (Philips) and two from another manufacturer. The speakers simply do not work consistently, either singly or all together, from the iMac or any remote device. This is more than an occassional drop out, which I could learn to live with.
Summary: I have owned this device for a good 8 months and I can say without a doubt it is the worst WiFi device I've ever used (I'm even using it with all Apple networking software and routers). Phillips support is abysmal, for example, all the wifi speakers have updates, but they don't even list this speaker in the support area for updates to firmware. Some days, the USB 30-pin connector charges my devices and other days it won't even recognize my Touch, Ipad 3 or iPhone.
Summary: CRAP CRAP CRAP.....worked poorly when it did work...wifi traffic would cause it to stop playing. after about 45 days it just stopped PERIOD! tried to reset the system and start all over....airplay or any of my 5 apple devices would not see it... dont wast your money...buy an apple express and powered speakers...thats flawless!
Summary: Was easy to configure, was impressed at first but then after 10 seconds of airplay it stops playing. Philips support sent us a replacement unit, that one does the exact same thing. Philips doesn't think there is a problem but if you read around the web you will find a bunch of people talking about the same problem. One guy even debugged the issue to find the philips server software crashing during streaming. Oh well, never buying philips again.
