I love this board

Garry D., Newegg
6 February 2011
  • Summary: I have 17 of these boards and now I'm about to purchase another. That should say it all. :)
  • Pros: Accepts 128GB of RAM, documented. However, I've heard of people successfully putting in 256GB of RAM.
  • Cons: Expensive.

The case has 16 1TB S-IDE hard drives. We also added a second dual NIC card. We use it for Microsoft Hyper-V Virtualized technical class...
  • Cons: The board requires a non-standard case for it's over-sized configuration. There are only a few choices, and they come from SuperMicro. As to RAM, it's not the motherboard's fault, but if you have a desire to use 8GB SDRAM modules, so that you could eventually take the board to 256GB you're in for...
