Terrible SATA implementation, old BIOS, generally unwieldy, will work only for some OSes and very particular configurations

  • Summary: Bought it because I wanted a server motherboard smaller than ATX form factor with RDIMM compatibility. This board has RDIMM compatibility and my two Kingston 1600MHz 8Gb ECC-DDR3 sticks worked perfectly at full speed. It also worked with an Opteron 4386 out of the box - I was initially worried that it may take a BIOS upgrade to accept a 4300 series processor (which I couldn't do since I didn't have an older Opteron), but that wasn't the case.

  • Summary: I built a virtualization server using the Supermicro H8SCM-O AMD Socket C32 1P microATX Motherboard IPMI MBD-H8SCM-F-O - Retail motherboard. For a processor, I used a AMD Opteron 4122 4-Core Lisbon 2.2GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket C32 50W Processor OS4122WLU4DGNWOF - Retail ,which seems like a great little processor for a low cost server.

  • Summary: Aus dem Handbuch: The H8SCM(-F) serverboard requires the use of proprietary power supplies.
