Summary: I buy motherboards I want to last. I am not trying to press the every last ounce of speed out of the computer. I want a stable, rock solid motherboard. I want these motherboards to last 8 - 10 years, this motherboard and I have gotten off to a great start. I have not had any oddities that often come with motherboards, it goes to sleep on command, it recognizes changes, I love the GUI bios, and the ability to dig further and find the "real bios" - my last MSI motherboard...
Summary: I would for sure get this for someone who is getting into gaming on PC. The OC genie is nice for newcomers getting used to overclocking. If you want to overclock this card: turn off your system, push the button, and turn back on. My 3770K went from 3.4ghz to a SAFE 3.9ghz. I have two of these boards and I'm slowly becoming a MSI fanboy.
Summary: This board is completely sold out by MSI. I got lucky and found a new board for the original price. Score! I installed it and it functions as displayed. Lots of useful features, especially the killer network drivers. A great board overall. If you still use a 1155 socket processor, and there's a new board for sale, jump on it!
Summary: I bought this several months ago for my new gaming setup. I'm using an i5-3570K, which has a stock clock speed of 3.4 GHz. The overclock genie function in the bios of this board is great. With the click of a button, my i5 has goes from 3.4 to 4.2 Ghz, and it hasn't skipped a beat since day one. The temps are still low with a Phanteks cooler. What really shines for me is the customer service at MSI.
