Summary: My first MSI motherboard, had a different brand for same Intel 7 new build and lots of problems...this thing has been "rock stable". Don't think I'll go to another brand. They say, "military build", I believe it. I even got a "refurbished" one and darn, thank God it's been awesome. Not sure why the person had sent it back, maybe just an open box, who know's but this thing has been great. It might not be their fastest most expensive board but I didn't need that.
Summary: This motherboard does exactly what I wanted it to. I have loaded it with 16Mb memory and used the two PCI express slots for video cards giving me the four monitors I wanted. Great Linux computer which lets me get a lot of my website, computer networking, and data transfer between an old and new erp system. If you want a lot of computing power, need to get a lot of different kind of work done this is for you.
Summary: I own two of these boards and find that they work as expected. One must be extremely careful not to bend the cpu pins on the board when inserting the cpu, but that is true of all socket 1155 boards. Otherwise, this is a good modestly priced motherboard. Actually, this version is out of production, but still available from the after-market.
Summary: I built a FreeNAS server using this motherboard and an Intel i3 cpu. I went with this because I wanted something stable and reliable, and a good Intel chipset. I've had my FreeNAS server running for 1 year now with this board, which I use heavily for video editing (via Gigabit Ethernet) and backing up my media. I've only had to reboot the machine once the entire year unexpectedly. I'd say that this board has went above and beyond my expectations.
Summary: For a first time builder, this board is great. I am definitely satisfied with my accomplishment. I have an intel i5, 8GB GDDR3 RAM, 120GB Kingston SSD, 160GB HDD, 450w PSU, NVIDIA G210 GPU, 2 Coolermaster 120mm fans. It's a budget build for sure, but hey, you have to start somewhere right! Everything is running great so far. One thing that I noticed during my build was the way the motherboard hangs past the mounting screws about an inch or so.
Summary: This was the cheapest motherboard I could find for my intel i5 3570k I was easily able to over clock to 4.0GHz with the BIOS menu, and so far this motherboard has lasted for 6 months without any problems.
Summary: Everything works. I'm not a gamer. It overclocks my 3470 cpu to 3.6 GHz with no problems. Music over the internet sounds excellent over my HK "soundsticks" speakers. This is a good basic Z77 board. If you don't need more bells and whistles, this may be a good buy. I am happy with it.
