Summary: I purchased this MB back in beginning of 2014 for my gaming build. Got the Intel i7-4820k chip to put in it and had no problem at all booting everything up. I have only dipped my toes into the OC of my components since I was have not had a lot of free time to tweak it. Over all this was a great purchase for the price of the MB.
Summary: Purchased this board directly from Amazon as a combo with the with i7-4820K CPU. The current bios being shipped by Amazon LLC was able to Post without any problems with this CPU. I used the built in bios upgrade feature to load the most current bios before I started on any OS setup, and the motherboard has been great so far. Not interested in overclocking, just looking for a fast stable setup, so no feedback on the overclocking features.
Summary: Years ago I had a mobo that had no PS/2 ports, just USB for the keyboard and mouse. Had a problem and the USB keyboard was not recognized by the BIOS so I could not enter the setup screen. I have never had that problem with PS/2 ports. This mobo is one of the few I have found with 2 PS/2 ports. I just wished the board had more SATA ports. Used an Highpoint Rocket 540L PCI card to give me an extra 4 SATA III ports. Board comes with several SATA cables and a good manual.
Summary: New motherboard and CPU (not bought from Amazon) will not POST but all lights on the motherboard work. The CPU fan is also working. After several hours of troubleshooting I found out this motherboard needs a BIOS flash update to support the IVY Bridge CPUs, even though the box has "Supports 2nd Generation Core i7 Processors" clearly printed on it.
Summary: 2nd board worked as advertised, obviously it's a little short on USB 3.0 and SATAIII vs the Z87 stuff that supports Haswell, but I didn't feel like waiting for Haswell-E. Also, it works with TPM, which was a selling point for me.
