Summary: Since i've had this board its been nothing but a head ache. The board works horribly with running SLi. Very blurry display. When you set your timing and voltage to get your memory to run at 1066MHz (like it should), you get the BSOD constantly. The board comes with a $[...
Summary: MSI has the worst customer service that I have ever delt with. I will never buy another MSI product again. Avoid MSI like the Plague!
Pros: Worked for 3 months, SLI
Cons: Worked for 3 months so I had to RMA the board. I sent it in and got it back with half of the heatsink missing and the board looked pretty mangled. I called MSI and they said they would send me a shipping label. I never heard back from them. I called back a few weeks later and sat on hold for an h...
Summary: THIS IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF JUNK I EVER WORKED WITH A FRIEND TOLD ME THAT MSI HAD GOOD PRODUCTS AND I TRIED WELL I BUILT THE MAJORIETY OF COMP WITH LAN PARTY PRODUCTS IF YOU WANT QUALITY THATS WHAT YOU SHOULD BUY I AM GOING TO BUT THE ONE I WANTED WAS OUT OF STOCK SO I WENT WITH XFX WHICH IS EQUAL...
Pros: REALLY NONE
Cons: THIS BOARD IS AWFUL THE BIOS IS OUTDATED AND WHEN TRYING TO INSTALL A Q9400 PROCESSOR NO GO, YOU HAVE TO USE A DUAL OR DUO CORE PROCESSOR 3.0 GHZ OR HIGHER. I BUILT OVER A THOUSAND COMPUTERS AND WHILE MSI WILL NOT GIVE IN THAT THIS USED TO BE A P7N SLI MB THAT THEY JUST UPGRADED A LITTLE IF YOU T...
Summary: I have always had good luck with MSI products in the past, but my experience with this board has changed all of that. First it ships with the 1.0 BIOS which is two version too old. So be sure to check the CPU compatibility chart before buying.
Cons: I ignored all of the negative reviews here and decided to give the board a try. I regret this. Brand new out of the box, it would start to POST and then lock up hard. Pressing any key on the keyboard would cause the CAPS lock to come on (for some reason) and then nothing else after that. Swapped ...
Summary: If it says MSI on it run from it like it has the plague. There are alot better boards out there. don't get burned like I did.
Pros: hmmm none. I bought it from newegg
Cons: 3 boards DOA sent the third board straight to MSI. MSI will not honor their warranty said that there was a scratch on the edge of the board so it was damage and did not qualify for their warranty.
Summary: Thankfully Newegg has an easy return process and friendly/experienced customer service people. Perhaps MSI should take note of this.
Pros: I give 5 EGG's to Newegg's customer support (more if allowed), however this is a "product" review of MSI not newegg.
Cons: Anyone can get a DOA board and that's just bad luck, no fault of the manufacturer. My board arrived defective, not DOA. Trying to get any type of "real" help out of MSI was impossible. When calling for support you are placed in a waiting queue for 5 to 10 minutes that eventually FORCES you to lea...
Summary: Save yourself a big headache and buy the EVGA!! Will never buy MSI again.... EVER!! I have bought here @ Newegg for 10 years since they started. They took care of me very well on the RMA for my patronage. Newegg Rocks!!! As usual.
Pros: Cooling.... uuugh yeah : )
Cons: BIOS Stinks! (1.0, 1.1 & 1.b8) Unstable. I had this running good right off then verious errors, blue screens, crashes had to rebuild countless times. MSI declined me on my rebate after waiting 3 mo. I know I did everything right on the rebate! Running the EVGA 780i and couldnt be happier!!
Summary: Nvidia released a bios to fix the 780i video corruption and crashing problem and MSI still refuses to admit that there is a problem. Horrable bios that makes overclocking almost impossible with an e8400 dont let anyone fool you look at any forum its not easy.
Pros: Expandability, runs cool for a 780i
Cons: Customer support, drivers, bios, and overclocking stability
