Summary: Overall this is an excellent little motherboard. It has all of what you need and nothing of what you don't. The good - It's small - as in smaller than other micro boards I've used. I find this overall a plus - gives you more room for other stuff such as the never ending cable clutter. It has enough sata ports - I run an SSD, HDD, and DVD drive. Someday I'll fill it all up and I can slip another HDD in without an issue.
Summary: I usually buy Asus but I wanted to do a very cheap build so went for the lower priced MSI. Big mistake. The board never booted - all other items i.e. memory, power supply, video card and even the CPU were "proven" by swapping with a running system before concluding the board was DOA. I recently also built a system with a Gigabyte mother board and had no problems with it. Guess who won't be buying any more items from MSI.
Pros: Cheap - but that does not excuse a DOA board
Cons: DOA - the very first one I have ever had, out of at least 30 system builds.
Summary: Decent and inexpensive little board, but: "Quick Installation Guide" is not product specific and is no substitute for a real manual. Power LED jumper isn't spaced the same as on the board it replaced, had to re-wire my PWRLED's 3 pin plug. Driver & utility install disk is worthless, the disk is physically out of balance and my dvdrom stopped spinning every time I tried to access the video drivers. Networking drivers "not a valid win32 application.
Summary: bad product. bad luck I guess. arrived with a fault which cost me my HD 6870 graphics card plus, do not know how, but she died two days after using this board. the board never worked properly.
Summary: This motherboard is perfect for a low-budget build of any kind, and I personally am using it for gaming. It is LGA1155, so it is compatible with nearly every modern Intel processor. I am using a GTX 560, an i3-2120, and 1 stick of 4 GB RAM along with a stick of 8 GB in the other slot. One thing to note though is the RAM clock speed is generally limited to 1333 MHz, so keep that in mind. The H61 chipset isn't such a great choice for overclocking, but it can be done.
Summary: I was kinda worried about the performance of this board because of its size. but once i got it put together it is awesome. i didnt have any issues with it and it is running perfect. i put 8 gb of ram with a intell celeron processor and it has more power than i expected. im not gaming. just doing school work and the average net surfing.
