Summary: I'm only giving it 3 stars as I blew the board somehow and the diagnostic tool (digital diagnostics tool) doesnt show fault and the board will not POST :/ never mind, stick it to a piece of wood and put a nice cpu cooler with a few lights on it and sell it on Ebay as art!! But seriously, when its working its a bloody good board especially alongside the AMD 3800+.
Summary: So I bought this board to replace a three year old Asus P5B - a legend which unfortunately, developed a fault resulting in unreliable HDD performance. Needless to say, I didn't had many options. Intel develops new platforms faster than my CPU becomes outdated. Seriously, I have Q8300 which will be sufficient for my needs for a VERY long time, but because LGA775 was sent to a retirement house, there is not much choice, but to use these budget little boards.
Summary: When I bought this motherboard, the second ( all black ) version had just newly come out, which meant that CPU's like the AMD Phenom ll Quad Core 965 ( with a rating of 140 watts ) is now supported. The board is a little sparse as far as all the bells and whistles go, but it is well laid-out with plenty room for a graphics card with a custom cooler bolted on, as well as the likes of a Coolermaster V8 CPU cooler.
