Summary: I'm always afraid the northdbridge on this thing is going to explode. Even after redoing the paste on it I can't get it below 80C. It looks like this is a known issue and the only way you could correct this is to throw a bigger heatsink on the north bridge. That takes away all the positive points I had for this bad boy. The fact that I'm always worrying about the northbridge temps doesn't let me enjoy this build.
Great Motherboard for HTPC + Gaming, XBMC, USB3.0, HDMI
3 December 2012
Summary: First of all, the quality of the board is perfect, well made with lots of onboard options for anyone looking to build a decent computer. I paired the MSI A75MA-G55 FM1 with an A8-3870K, MSI ATI 6670HD card and 8GB of Kingston HyperX Ram. This is a MicroATX board and was perfect for the case that I had saved from a previous build to setup an HTPC. Very easy to setup/install of all components and was able to post fairly quickly before placing the board into the case.
Purchased for a friends' wife's video editing computer
1 September 2012
Summary: Purchased for a friend to build a new computer for his wife's video editing computer. Her previous computer was a Phenom II X3 and the mother board failed. After researching the replacement motherboards and explaining the difference of DDR2 and DDR3 I talked him into purchasing a whole new system with SSD, this mother board, A8-3870, and 8Gb of DDR3 ram to replace it.
Summary: I got my motherboard 2 days after ordered at Circuit City, no problems at all, clean windows 7 ultimate x64 installation, no problems with drivers, running games smooth, playing starcraft II with 45 fps at full, word of warcraft 78 fps in ultra etc, without video card, just with amd a8 APU. I recomend this motherboard. EDIT: I bought another one from ANTonline, dosent workat all, it dosen't start, damage, nothing.
Summary: I bought this item from Amazon and it was shipped by Tigerdirect. The motherbord died after six days. It was replaced by MSI on a RMA authorization. The new (replacement) motherboard has worked for a cople weeks now ... but it has problems. MSI made available a beta bios update that has solved one major issue (hardware conflict - BSOD crash). But I am still having problems with several web browsers ... and those problems seem to be worse.
Summary: Little disappointed, year of manufacture is 2011 and the box looks very old. Inside of the box the manual of edges were ripped and my first feeling that flipkart has delivered used Mobo, but the product looked as such pristine from the looks. Nevertheless I am happy after doing lot of research pin down to MSI A75MA-G55. Pros 3 fan controllers 4 3.0 usb Cons 1.no spdif out on the rear, however mother board as the pin which can be hooked up with spdif header 2.
