Great, but just a few marks short

Philip J., Newegg

  • Summary: Not sure whos fault these are but don't let my Cons deter you from buying an other wise decent budget board. This was my 4th computer build and 1st time using AMD. Last 3 were all Intel with Asus or MSI boards. And so far I am really torn on which I like better. So we'll see.
  • Pros: Bought this board for a budget build for my parents who needed a major upgrade from a 6 yr old system. (It had a Pentium4 lol) Has - 1 Pci - 2 Pci x1 - 1 Pci x16 didn't need any more. Has - Amd's new socket FM1 which seem good so far. Has - Supports up to DDR3 1866 mem OC Genie is a easy to use f...
  • Cons: As much as I enjoy this board and MSI boards in general. I had to deduct eggs for --- 1. I'm pretty posititve I received an "Open box" item because the black sticker, which I guess is a secruity sticker and mine was half cut off 2. In reading the manuel it clearly states to install all your front...

Nice board for budget desktop

Matthew B., Newegg
27 February 2012
  • Pros: Used this board for a cheap build. No complaints. All drivers installed clean and had no compatability issues. Installed an AMD A4-3300 Llano 2.5GHz Socket FM1 w/ Pareema 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) and it's a solid performer for a budget build. Solid HD video, internet browsing ...
  • Cons: None. Works as advertised.

No Driver Support on Website

Ryan H., Newegg
8 January 2012
  • Summary: Will have to install pci ethernet card and hope windows update will find the driver as I'm tired of searching. Possible bad onboard? 1st msi buy, fail. Stick with Asus next time, less flashy website, but it has functional driver links.
  • Pros: Wasn't DOA.
  • Cons: Lan driver from disk did nothing. Can't find drivers for this product on their website.

  • Summary: This board is great for people that don't need high end computers for gaming, video editing, etc. I would not buy one for my personal use everyday computer but I would buy another one for HTPC someday when I build one. The video drivers are not difficult.
  • Pros: Nice layout, nice to look at. Everything! Great upgrade for my parents burnt out HP.
  • Cons: Absolutely none!

Not bad at all!

Joseph N., Newegg
29 October 2011
  • Summary: It lost an egg because I wasted about an hour hunting down drivers.
  • Pros: I used this with an A4-3300 APU in a cheap build. WEI was Processor 6.2, RAM 5.9, Gaming graphics 5.9 and I didn't even need a video card. I'm not a gamer so it is all good.
  • Cons: Very hard to find video drivers for it. The included CD had AMD Catalyst drivers, but they didn't install video ones. AMD's auto detect on their web site couldn't tell what I needed. I finally found a Catalyst 11.9 on AMD's web site that worked.
