Summary: I sold the system that was using this board so long ago, but in it's time I used it with several processors from a X4 635, X4 975 and I was able to continue using DDR2 I had. The NIC as others have suggested did have issues from time to time but was eventually sorted out with a windows update.
Summary: After being used for about an year and half, the board just died on me yesterday. I bought this board specifically because of the supposedly good voltage / power handling / capacitors, since I wanted it to last for several years (I also bought top-of-the line AM2+ processors and DDR2 memory and...
Summary: I had to replace my failed motherboard and did not want to upgrade memory and processor. This board worked well. Besides all the normal stuff you do on a computer I also race on line in a NASCAR racing league. My rig operates reliably.
Cons: 8 months after it was installed, the onboard video card crash and now the motherboard is dead. Waste all my money, plus I can't find motherboard that will use my DDR2 ram. Total waste of my money and time. NO MORE MSI for me.
Summary: Great value for the price... I already have about 6 months with it and I had been working outstanding. The OC option works just great. Delivery was fawless and on time. Installation was piece of cake (and I don't consider myself too good on this just regular knowledge).
Summary: At this point I am starting to back away from anything related to MSI... From reviews that I have read and things I have been hearing from friends, their quality is starting to go downhill quickly.
Pros: Affordable for almost anyone and a name that you used to be able to trust.
Cons: First one I got from some where other than here was DOA when I got it into case at home, returned it and got another, all parts were approved, and finally got it working. After 3 months of no issues, I tossed the box, manual. but kept the CD just in case, and here it is 6 months later and I get t...
Summary: Going forward I think I'm going to stick with Intel brand motherboards, no frills = no problems.
Pros: The MSI brand has always been a favorite of mine. I bought this board to replace an Asus board with an NVIDIA chipset that would not post with an AMD Video card.
Cons: The board died right in the middle of a WoW raid. :( After troubleshooting different things, I had to reinstall the old ASUS board. Ugh, come on MSI! I bought this board because of the "military class components". :(
