Summary: Paid $80 for this board as part of a combo, and it was probably too much. Submitted an RMA request to MSI now (it's close to 1 year since I bought the board and I've had enough).
Pros: Mostly works, decent layout, nice packaging, easy overclocking and core unlocking via BIOS
Cons: Intermittent issues with PCI-E. In about 50% of cases the board doesn't output any signal to my video card so the screen is blank. Have to reset the PC - sometimes multiple times - to get the signal going. This becomes a habit but it's not how it's supposed to be... annoying. Otherwise a good boa...
Summary: Thank the internets for having people more capable than the people who designed the board. Oh, and your rebate turnaround comes in dead last out of 6 different companies all sent simultaneously. Congratulations on failing in so many categories.
Pros: Decent board, some good qualities. Bios not as awful as some have previously stated and I anticipated. CPU location is in a less than accommodating location for an aftermarket HSF, as it has covered up two of my ram slots.
Cons: MSI's "technical support" is laughable. Don't except any help for this board beyond the most mediocre of problems that even your grandmother can solve. I called three times regarding assistance with core unlocking and some bio settings, only to be referred to a Google search for the work "overclo...
Summary: AMD Phenom II x 2 BE555 EVGA NVidia 9800GT MSI 770-G45 Patriots Viper 2 Sector 5 4gigs 1600 (@ 1066) WD Caviar Blue 640GB 7200 Win 7 Pro 64 Antec 200 with Antec Neo Eco 620W
Pros: Great features, supports unlocking as well as ddr3, easy installation, bios easy to navigate.
Cons: Everything was working fine until I ran prime95, then memory keeps on dumping and I get the blue screen. I even switched from G.Skillz ripjaw 1600 to Patriots 1600 and memory speed went from 1333-1066 and system is still crashing. Not making this build fun at all. runs WoW fine but doesn't like f...
Summary: if it werent for the defects i would buy another board in a heartbeat. but as it stands i dont even want to buy another board from them right now. one bad thing i can live. but two of them is just to much of an inconvenice.
Pros: has everything i need. 6 sata spots. and ide header and capable of crossfire and even capable of going into the future with the amd 1090t and 1055 t. i cant ask for more
Cons: tho it may have everything i want. it doesnt completly work. the ide header which i was hoping to use my dvdrw drives on doesnt do squat. had to go out and but a pair of sata. there goes two sata headers for harddrives a pci slot doesnt work in the case. there goes the option to go for a wireless...
Summary: i took off as many eggs as i did due to all the failures its has. but it managed to redeem one of them by how well it went to gether as well as another for how well everything seems to run on it.
Pros: Everything on the intial install of this motherboard seemed to have gone well. i hit the power button put the os disc in there and off to the races i went.
Cons: After i installed my operating system i found that the ide header was not functioning. how i managed to get the os on there is beyond me. but i wont complain. As well as just recently i found one of my pci slots failed.
Summary: I don't like MSI anymore. I will never buy there products again. Ugly board. CHEAP WITH A POOR LAYOUT. I bought something else with the new Sata 3 and it works no matter what right out of the box..
Pros: None. Junk!
Cons: Ugly Board. Poor layout. Not clearly labeled. Bios was not ready for the 6 core 1090T. No usb 3.0 or sata 3. Crased Crashed right out of the box...Hours Hours Hours. I bought a Sempron 140 Sargas 2.7GHzJand updated the bios. Stupid and rude support team that can't speak inglish. Can't even unlock...
