Summary: Over all great board for beingging gamers I recommend you getting this board.
Pros: I got a amd fx 4130 and 8gb of ram runs game amazingly I do not over clock because I have a stock heat sink. Six sata ports disappointed no Ide does make a big deal because I got a ssd. I recommend you think how many pci cards you are going to have.
Cons: If you get a two slot graphics card it covers the pci-e x1 slot
Summary: Non UEFI. I hate UEFI on my other MSI board because it adds so much boot time. This board boots quickly and has found a home in my HTPC. I took an Athalon x4 645 and dropped it in and added all the other goodies. What surprised me is that this board can overclock. The stock clock on my chip is 3.1ghz. A couple of mouse clicks later and I was up to 3.6ghz....not that I need it for an HTPC. It's inexpensive and works well.
Summary: Well Excellent product. Don't expect this to be a very high end board with lot of space to add RAM... Just two slots, but with 8 GB RAM stick you can't really complain now.. Product has almost all standard IP ports. I am used this to build NAS server. So I did not use HDMI and other interfaces, but storage IO is good (I did not use built in RAID). I am getting excellent read/write speed with my Samsung SSD (with ZFS). One month running to issues.
Summary: I bought this for a budget build. Used a fx-6300 as I knew that the 125W Vishera processors had issues with it. While it works fine, it can't supply enough power if you do even the simplest of overclocks. The FX series excels in overclocking, so that's a bit sad as you'll never experience the full functionality of your CPU. I also had trouble with getting linux to boot. You will have to install GRUB manually.
Summary: There is some confusion in the ratings as to whether or not this supports a 125W CPU. This is running my Phenom II X4 965 Overclocked at 4.0 Ghz for 6 months with no problems. It seems that others are having problems with the newer 125W FX CPUs.
Pros: Cheapest 125W AM3+ Board I could find; No problems with initial install, Was able to Overclock no problems once I figured out the archaic Bios.
Cons: Finicky behavior swapping boot devices in and out, sometimes fails to recognize boot device, cheesy MSI styling, Terrible add-on Software, MSI Add-ons (OC Genie, Winki, 2.2 TB Infinity) are terribly designed, confusing and useless.
Summary: The motherboard is good, but I was surprised there was no IDE connector for my old DVD. Also the sleep mode runs the chassis fan. I think I need to find a bios setting to change that, but haven't done it yet.
