Summary: On paper, this looks like a very nice motherboard. I'm sure it is, when it works. I received a board with bent socket pins, even when it had the cover over it. Dealing with intel CS was a hassle just to have them send me a new one. When i did get a new one, i was receiving the same post error and the exact same issue as before. Intel customer service was of zero help, and tried to blame it on the CPU which had conveniently run out of warranty 3 months ago.
Summary: I love this board. It isn't the top of the line, by any means, but it allows me to do what I need to do. I have tried it for overclocking, and it did okay. I set it back to default though, as I don't like to overclock. This board could use a couple more SATA 3 ports and SATA 2 ports, but I get by with what is included. I would recommend this mother board for anyone looking for a mid range board.
Summary: I ordered this motherboard because Intel boards are supposed to be proven designs and pinnacles of stability. Not so with this motherboard. It had numerous stability problems, in particular, USB 3.0 support was flaky. There's an erratum for miswired USB 3.0 headers on the motherboard, but while the erratum was published months before my order, I still received a board with the miswired configuration and the associated spurious "overvoltage" errors on the front USB ports.
Summary: This is the most amazing motherboard I have ever owned! I love all the overclocking options. Due to the limitations or shall I say minimums on allowable video cards in this board I ending up purchasing one that was more than I needed. At first I was kind of bummed but wow the rewards are amazing. It was worth being pigeon holed on which video cards I could get. The only flaw with the board I found is the plastic trays for USB 3.0 come off too easy.
