Summary: I've built 5 Intel systems and this is the first one that has let me down. Setup went well til I discovered a memory slot was bad, so Intel sent me another motherboard after significant troubleshooting on my end. Then, I get the 2nd motherboard and I get a bios error 12 on startup. I googled that error and it seems that it is a common issue, with this motherboard.
Overall board good, will not boot windows 7 in UEFI mode

Summary: There is a lot to like about this board; software-based overclocking, high quality parts, and the Intel name, but it suffers from a significant flaw: It will not boot Windows 7 (x64) in UEFI mode. It will boot it properly in legacy BIOS mode, and it will boot Windows 8 in UEFI mode, but not Windows 7 (as of May 2013 BIOS release). The initial boot process works fine, but it always locks up before you can get to the installation screen.
Summary: Pros: Very stable, power efficient, good layout, lots of connectivity Cons: Must use back to bios button to enter bios, because no power to mouse and keyboard till after OS boot. Not the best grounding on board, make sure you use the paper washers if installing Xigmatec dark knight cooler, without them you get the three beep memory error during boot. FYI Do initial bios upgrade before you install OS without video card.
Summary: A couple of observations: I did an immediate BIOS update when I got this mobo - to get current and to test stability before using it. The update ran to completion, but bricked the board. Intel support had me pull the jumper that forces BIOS to update (downgrade in this case) which got me to the BIOS setup screen. It wasn't supposed to do that, it was supposed to read the BIOS flash drive. Somehow after this odd behavior, the board started working. Scary.
MB looks impressive, but problems with CMOS rendered board useless

Summary: Love the features that come with the board with first impression. THough, after making a change to the Visual Bios on the boot and rebooted. Came back and system kept cycling on/off. Called Intel and not much help there unless I wanted to take out the board to verify nothing was shorting the board.
