Summary: EXTREMELY unstable and unreliable BIOS! Small changes in BIOS end up with malfunction and BIOS restoration. New BIOS version comes out every month but eaxh one is worse than previous. Dont let me be misunderstood - if you managed to setup BIOS your way and have a Windows losded - DONT TOUCH ANYTHING IN BIOS ANYMORE. The board will be stable. Until you touch something in BIOS settings again... Intel engineers disappointed me GREATLY. Board really SUX.
Summary: 0 for 2 with this motherboard. First one bricked when I did a BIOS update. Contacted Intel support (responsive and friendly) for them to tell me, twice, that I shouldn't update the BIOS. Thanks for the tip. Amazon's service, as always, is superb, and I get one in exchange almost immediately. I get everything put back together, Windows re-installed, and get things going. It stays stable for a couple of weeks, and then I start getting lockups.
Summary: I bought this as an alternative to the dreadful DZ77BH55K. On the whole it is worth the extra money, but still has a few issues. In particular, I can't get the on-board USB3 ports to work reliably under Linux. I also don't know if the USB3 header ports work any better, as the connector cable is way too short to reach the front panel of my case.
