Summary: So far extremely happy with this board, bought it due to budget. Easy to install plug and play as long as you have all components. Running MB with Win8 OS i3 16GB RAM. Good for gaming if you have a good video card.
Summary: Found this to be excellent and the price low. Do not use the included driver disk as it will be obsolete. You have to download the latest drivers, especially the one for the network. The one on the disk will not work.
One of the Few MBs That Had All The Ports I Wanted
P. Chun, Amazon
5 June 2012
Summary: Just built a new rig with an Core i5 Ivy Bridge cpu and it has been working great! I picked this board because I wanted the Firewire and eSata ports. Using the onboard video for now to save money and quite satisfied with the performance looking at 14 MP raw images from my Nikon in Photoshop. Even the onboard audio is pretty decent. Fortunately, the board had the latest firmware installed so it is compatible with the new Ivy Bridge chips. Happy so far!
Summary: I have been using Intel Boards without incident for the last 10years without incident There really isn't anything that I can report negatively. Go ahead and take the plunge, you won't be disaapointed.
Stable mobo, Virtu software for Windows 7 runs smoothly
27 January 2012
Summary: I am not going into the details of the motherboard itself, as my purchase was completely motivated by the advertised power saving capabilities of Lucid Virtu. I purchased my DZ68DB in July 2011 along with the i7-2600K, and paired it with an NVIDIA GTX 460, and using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. The motherboard has headers for DVI, DisplayPort, and HDMI (there is no VGA port), and I believe the maximum number of displays is two.
Summary: I chose this motherboard to upgrade my old office desktop composed of Pentium 4 + Intel D945GTP motherboard. So far, it's been stable and been working without any issues. I installed only FreeBSD 8.2R (no Windows) but every device was detected correctly and there seem to be no problems with the drivers. The only driver that does not support hardware acceleration is X.org.
