good product for professional users.

procomp_sp, Ebay
28 July 2013
  • Summary: Well, The Board is a qualiti design board from intel, Verry stable iff you know how to setup the bios. For a greater szabillity, use 1997 version of bios upgrade, and disable the watchdog. Watchdog is responsible for board unstabillity. Intel still did not prepare a biso upgrade to resolve the problem.

Outdated Board, but still a good buy.

eagle303, Ebay
5 March 2013
  • Summary: The DX48BT2 is a good motherboard, but lacks drivers for Windows 7 and 8. Drivers can be downloaded for Windows 7, but the board is no longer supported, so future drivers are in question. Otherwise, a good board.

Good Mobo but change RAM voltage

William R. Carter "The Gringo", Amazon
16 September 2008
  • Summary: I had the same problem of intermittent and unexplained restarts. I read somewhere that OCZ recommends a voltage setting of 1.9 volts. This MoBo comes with a default setting of 1.5 Changed it to 1.9 and the problem went away.

Don't use 1600 ram if going 8Gig

Greg Sullivan "Some Guy", Amazon
3 September 2008
  • Summary: This is a fine MB, the only issue I had is that it doesn't support 8 Gig(4x2G) of 1600 RAM but only 4 Gig(2X2G). Buy the slower 1333 RAM and save some $ and grief. Otherwise this board works great. I would also recommend visiting the Intel site and buying only RAM that is certified.
