Intel DX38BT Overclocker Mainboard Review
Reviewer: X-bit labs31 January 2008- Overall 8

Intel DX38BT mainboard features all the features necessary for CPU and memory overclocking. We did personally see screenshots proving successful overclocking results. However, this time I failed to even slightly overclock our system and I have no idea what happened to the board that it kept offering to correct the BIOS settings after a few failed attempts to boot with different frequencies. Even if you are lucky enough to get a mainboard sample that will overclock, th... Read more

When I got this board it had the smell of burnt chips but it was in a factory sealed box. I installed it and it failed after about 40 hours operation. I have been trying to get an RMA from Intel for the last two weeks. They say I need to send them a photo of the blown chip to return it. Read more

[CPUs] Penryns compatable with most motherboards??
So....What motherboards will handle the new Penryn Quads? Anything around $175-$200 that will work with a Penryn? How can you tell what works and what doesnt? Does it have to have the X38 Intel Chipset? If so, would a Intel DX38BT Motherboard work? I think that only supports ATI though. Not my 8800GTS. I could be wrong though. If something has ATI Crossfire Technology, does it mean it is not compatable with Nvidia cards? Message quoted 1 times Message edited by Rusty15 on 12-11-2007...
