Summary: This board is old, and has its limitations. However, LGA 775 was fairly versatile for its time being usable with many different available Intel CPU variants. The board came with adequate packing and looked well refurbished or VERY lightly used. Had some small issues fitting this board into a smallish mATX case. However, I was able to get past it. Still even after, it still works and has given no signs of issue.
Summary: I brought this motherboard from a reseller who sells this board only without an i/o shield. Called Intel and they gave me one for free. This board did away with legacy components, so that means, no ide, floppy, parallel, ps2 mouse/keyboard ports. Although it does have a serial port connection but you need to buy a usb header for it.
Summary: A great piece of old generation mother board supporting 4 ram slots and 6 usb back and e sata. It can support dual monitors and its very small m Atx, Cons:- Having some problems with the power supply. sometime when i press the power switch it starts and hangs and sometimes start and turns off again, but some times like accidental restarts. Except that its a ok. With my 8 Gb ram office works and some old hd games are going along well.
Summary: Its not the right descision to go for this board, You may rather consider upgrading to second generation kit of dual core with ddr3 RAM which should cost you the same this mobo. Why pay more for being left behind on technology?
