Summary: I wish I had my computer on the left side of my desk with a window in the side because the motherboard has a skull head etched into it with flashing red LEDS in the eye sockets. I generally like Intel motherboards and Intel CPU's. The computer I built with this motherboard and an I5 3.4ghz Intel cpu works great. I am not a gamer, but I do use my computer to provide security for a network so it is important that it work well, and this one does.
Summary: This board looks like targeting for high end users, but it's socket type only fits ancient intel CPUs like before i7 3770. If you are middle end user I recommend MSI or ASUS board which are less expensive. For high end user, don't buy it.
Summary: For some time I have experienced crashes Blue Screen and could not identify the problem. Spent over $400 trying to fix it and found today that ASUS has identified that Intel issued a statement about this board in Jul 2011 with a design error and replacing boards free of charge. Why did I not get notified by Intel? This Sucks!
Summary: (1) This is an excellent motherboard. Two things: (2) Before you allow a single electron to enter the board's circuitry go to another computer, log on the Intel site, and download the 2040 BIOS flash BG2040P.BIO to the root directory of a flash drive. Install 2040 from the flash drive (F7 during boot) and save yourself a world of frustration.
