In the user manual book included the Intel DP35DP package I have read that the Intel DP35DP motherboard supported until 8GB of RAM. I try to integrated 2x4GB. The BIOS should detected 8GB but in fact the BIOS only detected 4GB. I can not solved this problem until now. Generally, the Intel DP35DP is a powerful motherboard from intel. I am stisfied. You must listen to the other nightmares posted about this mobo! Intel ships the RAID software on a floppy, but there's no floppy controller on the board. Intel support says use a USB floppy drive.... but it has to be one of a few specific models. I tried to find a place to buy any of the recommended USB drives -- not available and Intel Support can't tell you where to find one. Intel Support gives you a link to a Microsoft sight to explain slip-streaming the RAID driv... Read more

After finding out it would be a week before Intel would even call me back to do troubleshooting(!), I decided to buy a new motherboard. The system has been rebuilt using the Intel DP35DP and everything is fine again. I did look at getting the new DX38BT but I would have had to spend shed loads on DDR3. Oddly though MemTest+ 1.70 is still reporting the same errors in the 1st 1MB of RAM. I'm pretty sure that this is an error with the softwar...

...llistix dimms in. They ran fine at 800, 4-4-4-12, 2.2v for a year but then the computer started randomly freezing, just like the 965 board. MemText+ 1.7 came back with loads and loads of errors, and would even crash randomly. Swapping out the XBX2 with a Intel DP35DP fixed the crashing, although MemTest+ still comes back will erros. I'm in the process of getting new RAM and will then RMA the Ballistix and then put it on eBay. How old are your modules? - I think there was a general problem with the Ballistix line at son...

Ruby is running . After much $$$$ and I got 6.2 FreeBSD (production release for amd64/em64t) installed and running on this Intel DP35DP + Q6600. It seems that the Linux binary compatibility libraries are only good for 32-bit applications, so the SMP client will not run on this platform as-is. That leaves me the options of installing 64-bit Linux (yuck ) or running 32-bit clients while hold...
