Pros: Got this board for a fan-less Akasa Euler Mini-ITX XBMC build. As it's one of the two boards compatible with the case.
Cons: Right from the beginning the USB ports were giving unpredictable results. It would recognize the USB/CD-ROM drive in the BIOS and boot menu, but then reboot and hang 9 out of 10 times after selection. Tried updating BIOS as suggested. First to v99 and then v105. Same issue with multiple USB brand...
Pros: I've had this for a couple weeks from upgrading from a D2700MUD Atom board, and let me just say there is a BBBIIIGGGG difference in video quality...Despite the fact that the board doesn't take your usual power supply, a laptop adapter is just adequate for this replacement.
Cons: BIOS updating is still a pain in the but because I have the first revision 23 and they're up to 105, it is saying that it is a legacy BIOS and it is unsupported.... Come on Intel, make this better for us here...
Pros: Although I didn't purchase this from Newegg, but I have very good experience with this Mother Board, I tested more than 20 units and integrate them with our medical equipments, it's amazing, it has everything any IT guy will need.
Cons: Recent BIOS update from 39 to 99 then from 99 to 104 and above is not easy and you'll end up flashing into recovery mode, hope Intel comes withe better way to do it, you need to be extra careful!
Summary: I was building an HTPC from scratch, and I needed a Thin Mini ITX board that is lite and not loaded with more features than I can imagine. This board prove to be the one I needed. It has the basic features, HD video and sound qualities.
Summary: I really wanted to like this board, and for the most part it's solid. Intel has a few boards out there now that use a built in DC jack on the motherboard for use in cases without a standard ATX PSU. This is one of them.
Summary: This board paired with a low power i3 or i5 CPU makes for a solid CarPC build. Windows 7 installs without issue using only the included driver CD. Intel's 3 year warranty, on-line support drivers, software and technical information are all top notch.
Summary: I was looking for a low-power usage system to use as a home server and ocassionally HD movie playing. I could compromise on power usage during load as long as idle power was low. I read the missingremote website review of this MB and decided to take a chance.
Summary: Great board with many good features: - CIR header for internal R6 compatible remote (MCE). - HTPC header for CEC (will be supported in the future, hopefully). - Board has its own 19v power supply.
