Summary: Super for use as an office or HTPC. Room for 8gb of (DDR2) ram and full HD(1080)video + audio output on DVI or HDMI without the need for a separate graphics card. Also does 7.1 audio via analog, coax and fiber out. Runs Win 7 pro 64 just fine. Uses low cost socket 775 processors.
Summary: This Intel motherboard is especially well suited for business users who require rock solid reliability and compatibility. This is now dated technology, but if you have good DDR2 RAM and a Quad core Intel Socket 775 CPU, this board will keep your system running for a few more years, at least.
Summary: I paid over $200 for this motherboard at the time more than three years ago and it broke it less than a year. I would've sent it back to Intel to get it replaced, but my family just decided that we didn't want to deal with a desktop anymore. So we ended up tossing the entire computer.
Summary: Overall, it's okay. I had to replace ASUS P5Q and decided to go with this one. I have Ubuntu Linux on my box and it picked it up fine. No special actions were needed (just transfer the CPU/RAM/Video from the old MB, connect everything and voila - it's up and running.
