Summary: Great Mobo! I will warn you, you will need a few things. -First is a graphics card, there is NO VGA built into the board.(a guy at the local flea market hooked me up with a good card) -Second is a btx heat sync, i luckily had a spare -Third is a 8 prong (2x4) harness to power the processor.
Summary: I suppose this is a good product, providing it works. Mine arrived DOA I contacted the seller and was greeted by the rudest customer service person I've ever heard about. Needless to say I never received any help nor did I receive an RMA.
Summary: This board works as described. I placed it left to right mirroring ATX placing in an ATX case that I gutted.I put the case on its side to make a horizontal form factor pc. The Pentium D installation took two seconds, the build took two days. Not easy.
Summary: I bought this board because it was cheap. I shoe horned it into an ATX type case that I layed flat, after gutting the original racks, making my own horizontal BTX case.I bolted the power supply over the front which was previously a side, and I have a BTX motherboard working fine.
Summary: Hi, my review on the 955XCS BTX formfactor is quite an experience as far as building and searching for the correct parts, ( hardware, such as 3.0 - 3.02+ fans that fits the motherboard, 3.02 P4 EMT64 technology that I found at [...] refurbished at a reasonable price.
Summary: Bought this BTX motherboard because of its price and full board features including 8 SATA ports, firewire, and the reliability of the Intel-manufactured brand. If you are looking for a new built best to look elsewhere as this BTX format is now discontinued and you will have to hunt very hard on eBay...
Summary: this board is not an easy build. btx reqires special case, cooler, and power supply. but it is an extreeme board witch allowes you to build a powerful and versatile system. I love the finished computer but will not use btx boards again.
