If I had a generic BTX case I would build another machine with this mobo

Summary: Although the case on this Dimension 5150 had to be modified for this motherboard to work, it is a better motherboard than the original factory one (HJ054 - which has a history of failure). I would not recommend this mobo as a replacement to a proprietary system like a Dell unless you want to do some work like I did or lose some functionality like front USB slots or power on/off/sleep button.
Summary: Great Board. Lots of features. Too bad BTX failed to develop and is now dead. 5.1 with Digital Audio output, 8 USB 2.0 Ports, 4 DDR2 Ram Slots. One of the first Media Series boards from Intel.
Summary: This board is one notch above a regular Pentium 4 mainboard. It uses the LGA775 processor platform and supports Pentium D dual core processors. Same board comes in ATX form factor too. It will get the trick done without a glitch. These are aging mainboards and as such can be found very inexpensively, same can be said of the Pentium D processors. If you're building a computer in a tight budget, this is a good solution.
Summary: BTX intel 945GCZ it takes a little getting use to, thats for sure. once you get past the fact you cant use ANY sort of double pad video card in the pci-e slot on this paticular board. i have managed to feconfigure a few and made it work, but what a total design flaw. the new platform has been boubed as "the new platform" but i dont think ill keep waiting for it to catch on. the 5.25" fans on both the front and the rear of the chassie does make a great wind tunnel.
