Worked fine for 400days

Robert D., Newegg
2 December 2015
  • Summary: Still have the board somewhere in my basement under a few others. Would like to give it another try, but newegg are pushing Z170 boards instead
  • Pros: Worked great, easy to navigate UEFI. More than enough sata ports for me (2SSDs 2 Hard drives, no optical drive). Plenty of room for a large cooler.
  • Cons: Died 400days after I purchased it.

Solid MOBO issues with 3.0

James L., Newegg
23 November 2014
  • Summary: So, anyhow, I've really enjoyed the mobo and my whole system. I do miss having the 3.0 functionality and wish I had done something with the warranty.
  • Pros: Easy to install. Has HDD bays that are wired into the PSU allowing for very easy swapping of HDD if you need it. I'm not very experienced with building new computers, but last Thanksgiving I put my system together with Intel 4670k with GeForce 760 GTX and have been happy with the performance.
  • Cons: USB 3.0 ports never worked. I assumed it was a failing on my part with the installation, but I was never able to troubleshoot through to having them be visible or responsive to 3.0 capable devices. USB 2.0 slots have worked just as you would expect, so I never followed up with the manufacturer (f...

Late problem, can't fix

Adam B., Newegg
2 May 2014
  • Pros: Great setup, worked for my build.
  • Cons: Unfortunately, one of the RAM slots is bad. Found out late after buying a 2nd set of RAM. Tried multiple sets of RAM in those slots, and it won't boot. Newegg won't replace it, and it'd be too much trouble to replace anyway with everything already installed. No one likes replacing a motherboard.....

Came with a PCI slot broken, didn't RMA soon enough.

Traci E., Newegg
13 December 2013
  • Pros: High quality and good looking. Compared to the other z77 motherboards in this price range, it looks absolutely beautiful. Excellent overclocking and SATA 3 was a major plus.
  • Cons: When it arrived, my video blackscreened when my XFX 7950 was on the top PCI x16 slot, but worked fine on the lower PCI x8 slot. I'm not sure if I am messing up BIOS settings, if my card is not compatible, or what, but it is not working. I would really like to talk to a manufacturer before I get m...

Decent

Jonathan H., Newegg
16 November 2013
  • Summary: Would be 5 eggs if not for the USB issues. I may be doing an RMA if I still can.
  • Pros: Plenty of USB 3.0 and other ports. Dual BIOS/UEFI Overclocking is simple with or without the handy tool. Black PCB is nice.
  • Cons: The USB 3.0 ports on this board are a nightmare to deal with. I've tried every driver available, from Gigabyte, VIA, and Intel. They will randomly drop and the only way to get them back is to reboot. I've tried just using the Intel ports like others have recommending to no avail. This is really b...

Well... It was Fun

Dustin H., Newegg
14 October 2013
  • Pros: It's a clean, quick, and great motherboard for the price really it is.
  • Cons: My back USB 3.0 ports all went out at the same time, I have no access or usage of these ports anymore and now my sound ports are starting to go, I've had this mobo for about a year and 3 months now. I'm not going to cry baby it but I am pretty disappointed. I am still waiting for Gigabyte to retu...

User Review

Maxim V., Newegg
13 September 2013
  • Pros: Good motherboard with more than enough 3.0 USB, goes well with my blue/black PC theme.
  • Cons: Only trouble I have, and found out trought reading the reviews here, is that it sometimes takes more times too boot from time to time. Don't know if it's due to the environment around the PC. It's annoying to wait some time going from a minute to 5 minutes before the PC finish it's booting sequence.

Good mobo

Carl M., Newegg
20 May 2013
  • Summary: The motherboard is a good one if you able to look past the flaws.
  • Pros: Great motherboard, it has Two PCI-E 16x 3.0 slots which is place perfectly, so you can SLI or CF two cards while still having room for year to get to both cards. The PCI-E 1x slot is useable even with a graphics card in the first PCI-E slot. I haven't tried the Msata slot on it yet so i don't kno...
  • Cons: The bios tends to hard lock while your changing settings, even while the system is at stock. It takes a couple of resets to be able to change the bios settings. It happens alot more when your overclocked, even when your overclock is stable. So it best to quicky do the settings then save the bios ...

Two defective memory sockets!

Francisco Roche, Amazon
29 April 2013
  • Summary: First, I do not live in the U.S., so the motherboard takes longer than 30 days to be in my hands. When I finally received the product, I started to set up my new pc, after installing the i7 3770K and 16GB of corsair vengance, press the power button and it turned out that the card panel showed the...

Gigabyte Z77X UD3H

Patrick S., Newegg
22 March 2013
  • Summary: Its a nice board but for the same price the ASRock Z77 Extreme6 overclocks like a boss and comes with more extras. Plus Virtu MVP worked great in the ASRock board.
  • Pros: Obviously Gigabyte quality. If you set a ASRock board next to a Gigabyte board you can see the difference. The Gigabyte board is cleaner, straighter, better lines and the overall quality is better. Came with the latest BIOS, installation was painless, booted first time, a lot of detailed setting ...
  • Cons: Overclocking was disappointing. It did reach 4.5 with a i5 2500K but occasionally would get in a boot cycle. Temps were 72c with Prime and a 212 EVO. Even backing of on the memory to 13333 didn't help. It would even do it with a small overclock. Tried everything, voltage change, timings. But at s...
