Summary: Well as much as I wanted to like this board I had no choice but to return this item due to USB problems that many people have reported about. I don't know If this is a gigabyte problem in general or only effects the z77 architecture but the Usb 3.0 drivers on this board are a complete mess. One week everything is golden and the next you have devices not working and your productivity comes to a crawl.
Summary: The motherboard does not have BIOS/UEFI driven USB 3.0 drivers so if you plug in a device to a USB 3 port it will not work when installing Windows 7. This is a serious design flaw in BIOS/UEFI and should have been added. I you wish to use any USB devices you must plug in USB 2.0 front panel connectors.
Summary: This MB seemed to be a really solid well made quality item the board was twice as thick as the Asrock board that has replaced it and in all honesty I think the board is better laid out than either my current ASrock board or the previous Asus board I owned. The only trouble was it kept on crashing once I had installed everything and I have no idea why. I've built 10 systems before and never had the same problem.
