Cons: No Linux drivers for the network port - that's unheard of these days. I could boot from the network, but as soon as my Linux install would start it couldn't find the network card. We installed on another network card, but even after install, no drivers for the mobo port.
Summary: Would really like for gigabyte to get back to me if i could get a RMA replacement? i ordered it 9/10/2012 exactly 31 days ago.........
Pros: Worked PERFECTLY on onboard graphics with intel hd 4000 on my i5-3570k
Cons: When I finally got my graphics card in yesterday (7870 msi hawk) it took me 2 hours to figure out that my PCI-e 3.0 x16 slot (closest to the cpu) is BROKEN!!!! i was getting ZERO display but the card was spinning. I moved the card to the PCI-e 2.0 x4 slot and running, but im SEVERELY disappointed...
Pros: Basic motherboard. Good amount of ports, slots for the price
Cons: Will not boot if I put 2 memory sticks in a dual channel configuration (1 &2 or 3 & 4). I have to install memory in 1 & 3 slots. If I try to, I get a boot loop. When I put the memory back into 1 & 3 slots, I get a "main BIOS is corrupted" error and I have to wait for it to copy over the back up. ...
Summary: If I could get the number for Gigabyte to see what i could do here that'd be awesome.
Pros: It's a great motherboard for what it's worth
Cons: I've had the motherboard for about 1-2 months, and the motherboard seems to have already failed. I initially thought it was the power supply, replaced the power supply and reset the BIOs and the computer will still not boot.
Summary: if you are a gamer this is not the board for you
Pros: Not that bad if you want a cheap board
Cons: you cannot change the voltage for overclocking the pcie 3 slot is way too close to the cpu socket, if you are using a after market heatsink and a 2 slot video card you will have little room between them
Summary: I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, unless they were willing to pay for what should already be inside the box.
Pros: Very fast and full of neat specs. Easy access to the CPU socket.
Cons: Comes without most connection cables - they are all optional, and hard to find. I bought this Mobo because it had a LPT port, but the cable is optional! It says it has 14 of USB ports, but without the optional cables, you can only use the 6 on the back. I won't buy Gigabyte ever again!
