Summary: I contacted Gigabyte Support about this piece of trash !!!! The biggest drawback is that it only has 2-channel sound, because of the RealTek Chip. Gigabyte Support said that's normal. Normal ? I regret buying it.
Summary: I normally avoid Gigabyte boards due to constant quality issues, but thought I would give this one a try for a Hackintosh. That was a mistake, I should have read the negative reviews more closely. The BIOS on this board has problems, it constantly corrupts, goes to a weird blue screen then reboots over and over. Now I get to spend even more time attempting dealing with warranty on it. Do yourself a favor, buy an Asus or Asrock motherboard instead.
Summary: This is the only motherboard I have ever heard of that does not have a vcore adjustment for overclocking and it doesn't tell you that in the description. The older models have it, and so does the newer models, my friends $50 motherboard has a vcore adjustment so there is no excuse from Gigabyte. Although you may not want to overclock now, you may want to in the future which is why this board is not for you...DO NOT BUY IT, save yourself the hassle.
Summary: Built my first PC with no problems whatsoever. My Intel MOBO posted the first time around. Unfortunately Gigabyte has failed me. I'm not sure why I thought Gigabyte MOBO were amongst the top, even at this low price i'd expect for it to Post. But of course someone has to get the DOA right. This MOBO taught me that breadboarding a build (or performing a POST) outside of the case before moving the old out and the new in, is essential.
Summary: worked until I installed my graphics card. there is an issue with this board and graphic cards. since i encountered this issue, i have found several reviews which stated the same issue. now i am hassled with return and getting another board! stay away from this board.
Summary: I am very disappointed in this board--do yourself a favor and skip this. Here is my justification: 1. THERE IS NO VCORE ADJUSTMENT. WHAT! Yes, an aftermarket mobo does not allow you to make this basic adjustment. My $50 motherboards all allow vcore adjustments--there is no excuse for Gigabyte. 2. UEFI is horrible. Horrible and clunky. This is not a major deal but it is definitely not a plus. 3. Gigabyte's bios utility is bad.
Summary: Like the title says gigabytes quality control is absolutlely consistant in that it is absolutlely non-existant. Yet another motherboard from them that does not work straight out of the box. I build systems as part of my business so go through a lot of componants. About 1 in 3 gigabyte boards are faulty on delivery, if you luck out and get one that works it will be fine but I only order them when I can't get anything suitable from asus.
Summary: These seem to have generally good press and seem a good board. I bought largely on the recommendation of the guy who said he'd never had a problem with Gigabyte. I have to say I've bought mainly Abit and Asus in the past, and never had a motherboard issue So I bought two of them. And I'm going to have to RMA one of the two - it simply doesn't recognise a pci-express card - I've tried two 7850s and a 6950 - and tested all three with other board - they're all fine.
Summary: Mobo bei anderem ...billiger-Versand gekauft. Installation klappte nur mit Ubuntu 12, Suse 12 und wahrscheinlich auch Fedora 17. Ich musste die Tiefschlafmodi im BIOS abschalten; seitdem läuft es unter Ubuntu. Debian 7 Testing leider nicht. Warum bin ich so sauer? Das Mobo kam und die installiertern Linux-Systeme froren ständig ein. Mal gleich beim Desktopaufbau, mal viel, viel später. Dann, fast sage ich Gottseidank, blieb der Mist schon im BIOS hängen.
Summary: Ich habe das Board zusammen mit 8GB Dual-Channel Transcend RAM und einem Intel i5-3550 gekauft. Setup lief alles einwandfrei, allerdings kam es bereits nach kurzer Zeit zu kompletten System-Freezes. Zusammenhanglos mit Anwendungen. Etwas weitergehende Recherche im netz brachte zutage, dass mehrere Kunden dieses Problem mit dem Board haben. Vermutlich funktioniert der C3-C6 State Support für den Prozessor nicht richtig, der C1 State ebenso nicht.
