Almost lasted 3 years w/ HEAVY gaming!

Michael W., Newegg
13 December 2015
  • Summary: A great priced board that had a good run!
  • Pros: The MB almost lasted 3 years as a 1st build for my son (teaching him to build his own PC). The board itself was a simple install & went through 2.5 years of brutal teenage gaming & handled upgrades throughout the years of everything from memory, cp, SSDs, secondary HDDs.
  • Cons: At around 3 months (2.5 years) of age the MB started showing signs of failure. It started with the Bios boot taking significantly longer. For over 2 years windows 7 would be booted & the PC completely running in under 10 seconds from the time you pushed the power button. Then the board had some i...

Great motherboard, no hassles

Corey Zahner, Amazon
21 July 2014
  • Summary: This is a solid motherboard. I bought it to put into a gift computer I was building for my father, and he's never had a problem with it. This board was exactly what I expected when I ordered it. Arrived on time, in working condition.

Good Durable Board

Dominic J., Newegg
24 March 2014
  • Summary: There is a Beta bios and new audio driver that if both in place are supposed to improve the audio conditions but as the bios is a beta I did not test it but once they release a stable version hopefully the audio will improve.
  • Pros: Four 4 pin fan headers 3 year warranty 4 USB 3.0 ports and a USB 3.0 Header Right angle SATA III connectors Dual Bios that automatically takes over when failure occurs. Has a temperature probe for their voltage regulators which is something I’ve never seen before. Very durable features such as hu...
  • Cons: Gigabyte’s old ugly looking color scheme (New models don’t have this problem) The SATA II connectors are not right angle Poor USB 3.0 Read Performance: Intel controller: Read = 213 MB/s Write = 145.7 MB/s Etron controller: Read = 197 MB/s Write = 144.5 MB/s USB device’s actual speed on different ...

Love this board

Justin B., Newegg
1 November 2013
  • Summary: I had also been looking at the slightly higher model, GA-Z77X-UD3H, but in the end I found it unnecessary. I still have not used all the features on this board, so getting a higher one would be a waste.
  • Pros: Lots of features, all the current tech, powerful and upgradable.
  • Cons: None. This is a great board

An Honest Review

Mike, Amazon
12 September 2013
  • Summary: This mother board does NOT support AMD. I just noticed it said AMD and that shouldn't be there. This board supports Intel CPU's. Anyway I honestly believe this is a good board. I had it for a while now and it still stands strong. This board supports LGA1155 chips, 22nm, with Ivy Bridge.

Very disappointed

C5driver, Amazon
14 August 2013
  • Summary: I was very disappointed with this motherboard as there are no drivers available for Linux( and there is no documentation telling you that) Neither the RAID nor on board LAN will work with Linux.
