Summary: Great motherboard. This is my first Gigabyte coming from a long time ASUS owner. I decided to try this out on a recommendation from a friend as I was building a new Intel i5 machine and was not familiar with Intel boards as I have been an AMD user for many years. The BIOS has a load number of features, too many to list but it can be dizzying to say the least. It seems too complicated at times and getting my SATA to work off the bat was a little tricky.
Summary: I've had one of these motherboards for about 12 months now and I have to say, its bombproof, a very strong board, ideal for overclockers, excellent build quality, it looks cool as well, it keeps very cool, im running an intel i7 2700k at 5ghz on a water cooled machine and this motherboard can handle everything you can throw at it, you could drop this of the top of a mountain and I would bet my last pound it would boot up after, I bought this board from an alternative...
Great motherboard... but this is the Rev 1.3 version!

Summary: I bought this motherboard for my new build, because finding a similarly specced Z77 mobo with Firewire onboard (I use a DV cam so need the connection) proved to be a bit difficult. I was going to either get the more expensive Z77 UD5 (don't really need dual ethernet) or wait for a Z77 version of this product. Decided in the end to go for this one because at least it's a mature motherboard with a lot of features that I actually will need.
Summary: I got the motherboard for a new system and am quite happy with the hardware side of the board. (See ToneFloat's review for that, I don't have much to add to this.) The Bios however is a totally different issue: 1) Out of box it doesn't support ivy bridge CPUs. Instead I got a black screen, single beep and reboot ~15 secs after the beep.
Summary: This is a very fast motherboard with nice ports configuration for connectivity and expansion. Flash the Bios when you get it with latest release. It would have been nice if the fan was dynamically adjustable there too, in Bios (rather than the gigabyte software). Super performance and solid motherboard, strongly recommended!
Summary: I bought this Gigabyte motherboard to replace an Asus Z68 motherboard which was faulty on arrival. The Gigabyte model features the same Z68 Express chipset and supports the LGA1155 socket type for CPUs - I'm running this with an Intel Core i7-2600k. The box comes with various parts including the backplate for your case, four SATA cables (two with right-angle brackets, two without), a printed manual, an SLI connector for running two linked graphics cards, and of course a...
