Summary: This is a good board but I would've maybe gotten a different board instead of this because of the boot problems that it did have. If you can fix that and take care of your computer, then you'll have no problems.
Pros: This is a great board to have. Bought it 2 years ago and it's still functioning fully. I did have the boot loop when I first got it but did flash the bios. Since then I've had absolutely no problem at all.
Cons: Not really a big thing but I really do absolutely hate that screen on start-up. I'd rather see the post instead of watching the giant logo for gigabyte that says touch and yet I can't get it to work.
Summary: It sucks that so many people have this boot looping issue... Though I sort of question user error in some way...
Pros: First pro... I have yet to experience any of the boot looping issues since I got this board in December of 2011. Everything works except easy tune, that program just sucks.. No big deal though. (I do not care about that)
Cons: I tried updating the bios once, from version F6 to I believe F10, it did not work out at all. That is ok though, everything is still running as awesome as it was on day 1.
Summary: My 2nd board has been stable and overclocks like a champ. I have avoided upgrading to the UEFI bios since it doesn't seem that it will be well supported by Gigabyte.
Pros: I've had this board since they first shipped out the new revision last christmas. Once i had a stable working Bios the board has been very stable. It runs my 2133 ram with no issues and overclocks my 2500k with ease. For what I spent it is a very solid MoBo.
Cons: First board was DOA. Out of Box Bios issues. Poor Bios Upgrades and Gigabyte Software Utilities.
Pros: Works great! Bought this back in Oct / 2011. I have used it all day almost every day since. Running a 2500K, 8 GB G Skill 2133, GTX 260 SLI at first then a single GTX 480. Also used a 4 way Raid 0 and now two SSD drives. Was able to OC my 2500K past 5 GHZ stable with no boot loop or BSOD problems...
Cons: I have been seeing all the "boot loop" reports on this board. Its a little disheartening I must say. I build a lot of gaming computers and have been a big fan of Gigabyte boards for some time now. I have had one RMA with a DOA micro ITX board from Gigabyte but that was one out of 12. Again maybe ...
Summary: This board is far superior to my past AMD boards in every way imaginable! The black finish makes it look AMAZING in a build with a side panel window and some LED's. :-) Love to show this thing off at LAN parties! The rebate offers two ways for you to get your money.
Pros: -Contrary to what this page and the pictures say this board DOES SUPPORT PCI-e 3.0!!! It says it on the box, manual, and board itself(At least mine does)! -Great Design with black PCB -SOLID Construction, doesn't feel cheap at all with 2x Copper PCB -Spacing on the board works GREAT for dual GFX ...
Cons: Rear I/O shield was a pain to fit against the board. I had an ASUS Deluxe that had a foam padded I/O shield and I miss it dearly. This one is thin sheet metal... Not enough to knock an egg off as MOST boards have this, but a padded I/O shield should become the standard IMO.
