Summary: The motherboard would not even past POST when it was installed. Processor and memory that I used worked fine as I purchased an ASUS MB to complete my project. Amazon return policy was great! They arranged the pick up and my refund was posted within a day.
Summary: After about 6 months, I'm fighting the dreaded boot loops that everyone seems to be getting with this board. For the money, and for what this board offers, there are many other boards that are stable and have more options.
Summary: Boot loop can happen on any board. Gigabyte boards has this problem most often. This exact motherboard has this problem the most often of all the Gigabyte boards. Boot loop risk is pretty high for this board. I'd say 50%+.
Summary: Pros: It has a lot of connections and handles what I need it to. Cons: It does have the boot loop issue. I solve it by unplugging it when it starts doing it. Then it will boot and I have to go back in the bios because it says it wouldn't start because of instability.
Summary: terrible customer service this mobo burnt 3 usb flash drives and a card reader. i tried changing for a diferent mobo to see what the hell was going on. that is it!!! this crap works very badly, it turns on, but i cannot make it work properly. i needed to change of course.
Summary: Same issue as most others, random boot loop. Mobo not reliable at all. Powering this guy on is like a crap shoot, ya never know if it'll POST and load OS or lock up or boot loop indefinitely or boot loop for 5 minutes and then load or boot loop 5x and then load or, well you get the idea.
Summary: I'm a very tech savvy guy and have always built/upgraded my own computers. I read tons of positive things about this board and chose it for my next build as I'm moving into the Sandy Bridge era.
Summary: All started well but after a week it would crash every time I would wake it from sleep. A month later it would not post and just boot cycled(I was not messing with the settings or OCing). Acted as a bad ram module was present. Found it would boot with only one of the ram modules.
Summary: I built three computers using this motherboard. One of the three failed within the first month, I returned it to Amazon for a replacement. After installing the replacement, I googled "Gigabyte Z68 Boot Loop" and found that many others were having this same problem.
