Summary: Find something else, I'll be RMA'ing mine now.
Cons: Does NOT support 22nm processors out of box! Requires bios update to support them! Ram slots 1 & 3 were defective - When attempting to set ram voltage from 1.5v to 1.6v motherboard refuses to start.
Summary: The board I recieved had a z68 chipset issue that caused boot looping, even after changing every setting, resetting and updating bios, etc. bought a better board(Gigabyte z68x-ud3h-b3) to avoid getting the problem again. That one had it too.
Pros: Worked... kind of.
Cons: Z68 Chipset issue(pll overvolt) made it reboot infinitely, even immediately after first boot
Summary: RMA already sent off now im worried there just going to replace the board, and the same thing will happen, have read new bios updates do no fix this problem. :/
Pros: Looks good on paper.... Would have given this board 5 eggs if it worked.
Cons: bought the board, knew i couldn't use a 22nm processor until i flashed bios, so i bought a 32nm processor. everything worked great for a 32 days, (2 days after new-eggs return policy) THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN.. COMPUTER REBOOTS, then ENDLESS BOOT LOOP!!! so irritating i always bought gigabytes mother...
Summary: Using needle nose tweezers and a stereo microscope I was able to fix the three bent pins and the motherboard works now, but what a hassle, they really got you there. I am not convinced the pins weren't bent when I received the board. INSPECT YOUR 1155 SOCKET BEFORE INSTALLING CPU !!
Pros: Nice amount of I/O & buses for the price
Cons: Did not work out of the box, RMA'd it and was informed that I had bent pins in the 1155 socket. I examined the board at work and there were 3 bent pins in 3 DIFFERENT areas in the socket. I don't see how I could possibly have done such damage. I inspected the pins under a stereo microscope, and o...
More and more reports of boot failures & MARCH 2013 UPDATE
Chris Wright, Amazon
27 April 2012
Summary: UPDATE: March 2013 Well, I did indeed RMA the board and it was returned to me after about 4 weeks. Since I had an old case and power supply laying around I decided to test it out before selling it. The results have been much better.
Summary: Got this mobo for my 1st build (Hackintosh Machine). Spent a weekend trying to make it work, No deal. Had to return it and now i`m thinking if this brand deserves a second chance. Don`t Buy It, Don`t worth the headache.
Summary: This is not a permenant review but temporary in light of a more full review later and when I have time to explain the issues I've had with this board. However, for now, I wanted to make potential buyers aware of the troubled BIOS this MOBO suffers from.
