Pros: Solid board that took conservative to moderate overclocking well. Owned since July 2010
Cons: All three of the blue memory slots stopped working at once. Built the same for a friend, shortly after my own. He started experiencing failures to include RAM slots, USB slots, and finally the PCI-X 16 slots. Bottom line, the board seems to have longevity issues.
Pros: I've had this motherboard for over 4 years and it basically runs 24/7. I have not had any failures and have replaced the RAM, videocard and hard drives to keep up with tech. This motherboard still handles well with a GTX 980 playing games on ultra.
I never really felt like this motherboard was working quite right

Summary: I never really felt like this motherboard was working quite right.... It seems like it should have been faster because I have an Intel Core i7-970 Processor 3.20 GHz 12 MB Cache, 24 GB of RAM and a solid state system drive.
Summary: have owned / RMA'ed 5+ of these boards and still have yet to find one that was fully function/defect free. ended up switching to an ASROCK board out of pure frustration. avoid these at all cost in you need more than 50% of the motherboards "features"
Summary: Bought this board at the end of January 2009. Worked fantastic for 2 years and 11 months. Several upgrades occured for primary hard drive, raid drives (was running both mirror and striped arrays off the board's raid controller) and video card changes. Peachy keen until it broke.
Summary: I no longer trust the quality of Gigabyte motherboards.
Pros: I am a fan of Gigabyte's BIOS for overclocking.
Cons: This board failed on me after 8 months. I sent the board back for an RMA, received the exact same board back (I had marked it with a Sharpie). It worked for a month after the RMA, then failed again. Seeing as it is difficult to diagnose a motherboard's issues I was reluctant to write a review ear...
Summary: Overall, the Intel SATA ports work wonderfully. I have not mucked about enough with the other 2 controllers to see if I can get 10 devices hooked up, although that may be coming soon. It's an OSX KEXT issue, not a board issue. I also installed Win7 originally, and did the OSX install on a lark.
Pros: This board makes a great hackintosh build. I'm running it with 10.6.7 and it posts geekbench at about 11K with 24GB RAM and a 980x. Haven't bothered to OC it because of how fast it is stock. With the OS installed on an Intel X25M SSD, there is almost no lag on any action you do.
Cons: It doesn't come with a 1 click OSX installer? Occasionally I have a hard lock where all IO deadlocks, and only a hard reboot will fix it. Haven't tracked it down yet, but it only occurs about once every 45 days or so if I don't reboot, so it doesn't happen often, and given the configuration, it c...
