Summary: In this review PCSTATS is testing the Intel P67-based Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4 motherboard. This is a mainstream ATX motherboard with a great set of workstation features and connectivity, all on a sleek matt-black PCB that looks fantastic in black computer chassis.
Excerpt: In one of the biggest cases of the Chicken Little syndrome I think I have ever seen, we have all been inundated with comments, articles, Facebook posts and more over the flaw on the Intel Cougar Point MCP. Some e-tailers have stopped selling even the CPUs; websites have stopped publishing reviews and worse. Estimates of the financial impact have ranged up to one billion dollars.
Conclusion: Wow, all I can say is ... the Gigabyte P67A is one kick-ass motherboard. Just look at the results from our benchmarks. It came out on top, producing excellent scores in all our tests. It beats the original Intel DP67BG motherboard, but only marginally. Still it proves that Gigabyte pride themselves by offering performance that's above your normal standard. What I like about the P67A-UD4 is the new look black PCB.
